TechNight Returns!

Posted by Jamie | Comments (1)

Don’t forget to tune in tonight (Saturday night/Sunday morning) at midnight to hear TechNight’s return to the airwaves after a relaxing summer off. We’ll discuss what we’ve missed over a very active summer, and of course, the news of the week. We’ll also discuss how you can get in on the action and call in to the show so we can tackle your tech questions. We’re always here to serve. We’re always here to inform. We’re always here to entertain and help you enjoy the technology in your life.

Again, we’ll be live on 90.5 fm WUOG Athens, SmithTownRadio.com, and WUOG.org/live at 12 AM Saturday night/Sunday morning, this week onward for the rest of the season.

Now might also be a perfect time to subscribe to the RSS feed for the show in iTunes or your preferred podcatcher by clicking the links at the right. You can also subscribe to our Twitter and Facebook pages in the posts below.

We hope to see you then. It’s going to be a fun time!

Gearing up for Season 5 and Episode 100!

Posted by Jamie | Comments (0)

We’re getting the paperwork done, planning some site changes, polishing up the theme music, bringing out the band, making the guest lists, oh dear will be ready in-time for our season premiere?

While we still have a few extra summer shows left to post, our return to 90.5 fm WUOG will tentatively be on the night of August 21st at midnight. We’ll have one or two special guests and we’ll rundown what we’ve missed over the long summer.

We hope to see you there. Look for more details on listening live as the date approaches. In the meantime, if you haven’t done so already, we invite you to subscribe to us on iTunes by clicking the link at the right.

We’ll keep you posted.

Please Pardon Our Huge Pieces of Dust

Posted by Jamie | Comments (1)

Here at TechNight, we like to turn lemons into lemonade. That’s why when a recent WordPress upgrade went horribly wrong…we decided that in anticipation for our two year anniversary in October, it was time for a visual refresh. In the meantime, please enjoy our latest audio content…it’s far better than the current look of the site.

The Tubes Are Broken!

Posted by Jamie | Comments (0)

Sorry for the lack of shows folks. I’m afraid our spring vacation will continue for another week. Seems the Boston cable folks are doing a bang up job on repairing the lines (try 56K speeds – wicked). Brad has only been able to email me using a library terminal…great for podcasting! Anyway, I’ll update you guys throughout the week.

Sick Daze

We’re taking a bit of a mini-vacation here at TechNight. I’ve been sick for the past few weeks and Brad has been dealing with work. With any luck, we should be back next week with a brand new show. Stay tuned!

Final Macworld Notes

Posted by Jamie | Comments (0)

Here are some final notes and predictions before the big Macworld keynote. These come from various anonymous sources and my own speculation.

-Leopard: we’ll see a demo…and it’ll be shipping by the end of January, maybe even in two weeks.

-Phone: we’ll see one and there will be two versions, one with .mac functionality

-iPhoto will have those earth/GPS tagging capabilities…maybe.

-iWeb will see major enhancements. It will now be something you want to use as opposed to something you keep away from. It’ll have basic CSS functionality too.

-Mac Pro and Mac mini updates will be dropped in on the side.

-One more thing: it may be the iPhone…but it’s never a sure thing. Something huge may be up Steve’s sleeve. Watch closely.

Anyway, enjoy the show and we’ll talk to you next this Saturday at 9 PM EST on Talkshoe.
